CYDNIE O'BRIEN

Affect Change Scholarship

My name is Cydnie O’Brien, and I was the recipient of this first-ever “Affect Change” Scholarship. Though I
spoke a little about how honored I feel at the awarding of the scholarship, I am not the best at impromptu words.
I wanted to say thank you. It has always been a goal of mine to be a good role model, to inspire others to be
good, and to “be the change.” It was my goal, and in becoming a Link Leader at Erie High School, I tried to
achieve it. Cody Buckley was in my first round of Link Crews. He was an intelligent, caring, passionate
individual and pleasant to be around. He was, even a year younger, an inspiration to me to always question
everything, and absorb knowledge like a sponge. He also taught me that it pays off to listen more than you talk.
I am thankful to have known him, and I am thankful that I can continue to be inspired by him though this
scholarship. With it, I aspire to be the best I can be in college, and chase my dream of changing the criminal
justice field for the better. Thank you for supporting my goal, to be the change and do better for our world.

COLE KNUDSEN

Scholarship Recipient

I cannot thank you enough for the contribution you have made to me and the contributions you have made to other Erie High graduates and alum. The generosity and community involvement of this foundation is nothing short of amazing and something I can say I was proud and honored to be a part of. I cannot wait to see what this foundation will do in the future.

KENZIE KUDRNA

Scholarship Recipient

I am a proud alumni of Erie High School continuing my athletic and academic career at the University of Northern Colorado. I am fortunate enough to be entering my third year in the School of Dietetics. It is with the help of your scholarship(s) that I am able to pursue a degree that I am extremely passionate about, and even have the aspirations of continuing my education with a dual Masters Internship Program upon my time at UNC. Being on the board as a junior at Ere, I understand the time and effort that goes into the selection process. I am incredibly honored and thankful to have been a recipient. Thank you for allowing me, and so many others, to chase our dreams by furthering our education
