The Erie High School Education Foundation has changed the timeline dates for the 2020 Scholarship. This year scholarship applications will begin to be accepted on December 1st, 2019 which is a whole month earlier than last year. The intent is to increase the number of applications we receive by having the due date in the same vicinity of other local scholarships.
Additionally, this school year the scholarships will be due at an earlier date as well. The due date for this year's scholarships will be March 1st, 2020 giving students a full three months to apply.
Be sure to keep your eyes open for information about applying as we approach the December 1st scholarship opening date, particularly if you are interested in the EHS Education Foundation's Tradesman Scholarship which awards money to graduating seniors who are interested in learning a trade (work done with one's hands), earning certification in that trade to begin working right away rather than attending a traditional college setting. We really want to encourage students who may not think of themselves as "scholarship material" to apply for this scholarship. The EHS Education Foundation wants to support your quest as well and will be selecting the hardest working and most deserving candidates regardless of their academic successes.
